    Default Once upon a time

There was this fella , he knew no boundaries on how to try to ketch a crappie .
He often explored new techniques and found some to be "his" thing and some not so much .
If it was productive and some friend had something that was working that he was never introduced to ,he went out and tried it .
Case in point , I might be that guy , have I fished over about all the newest techno gadgetry you might ask , I would say likely so .
Have I ice fished for them , nope
have I trolled for them ...for sure not on purpose
have I set yo yo lines for them ...nope also
but some of the more popular pursuits if not most of them YES .
I love standing on docks ,especially alone where I can concentrate on the task at hand .
Wind and weather rarely have much effect and more often than not the target species is in herds right under your feet ...
they have been preconditioned as well by the boat owners and the typical noises and stuff that happens around docks.
so in the end remember this , I go out to get bit ,lots of bites beats a few all day long and for those that look down on those that do the dock ketchn ,so be it , it does not make you more or less of a crappie angler no matter the methods you employ to pursue them
yesterday was VERY slow on my lunchtime dock , only managed 23 and got my line broke by a big fish that was likely a crappie . the fish did not seem to have a really solid pattern i could get on to . some were up in the water column and some not . some wanted it to move and some not .some wanted it on the up and some not . some were the lightest of bites ever and some whacked it hard . not sure why all the variance ,but to be sure it was tough to hold less than 2 dozen in a short time .....
no worries , i will get back after them soon with what i hope is a number of fish in the hand more worthy of mention
used only a white and a chart ,seemed to like the white better
sometimes it is what it is right ....and
    KABOOM is the word
p.s. I almost got to hold 24 fish total , but them lil channel cats can sure use them switch blades well in a knife fight ....just saying
23 in the hand and one not a crappie not so much in the hand thank you
