KABOOM, yeah those are some pretty jigs. I can see why that sparkle pearl white jig with black head would put a hurtin on them. Hope you have more, if not contact Steve at Limits Tackle for more.....lol. Good pics as always.

and that's just how it goes when you are on fire according to what they taught me back when I was in 1st grade .
So STOP I did ...
and DROP I did ....
and of course then ,,,,,,,
ROLL !
Man was it on FIRE and man was it a fine lunch break .
Thought maybe they would leave such short waters after the spawn .
But it appears to me that due to the average lake depth in that area of under 10 feet deep
and the massive amounts of different things to hide in and around in the shade there
that 6 to 7 foot of water will hold them in BIG numbers .
3 to 4 foot down was the ticket in 6 foot of water
a few slightly deeper and few around 2 foot down .
75% just slacked the line ,not many wanted it on the up
not many wanted it on the jig it program
none wanted it dead still
but a slow fall after a rise or a drop and ....no sinkee my jig
a limit of 25 keeper sized fish in the first 30 minutes
carried it on for another 30 or 40 and called it ....
50 to 60 crappie landed , 3 line break offs
and a work out on my hook setting arm to beat the band .
I can tell you this , it gets a might ugly with 14 inch fish on a 6 foot ultralite with 4 foot of line off the tip right quickly when you set the hook for sure !
lost 2 jigs i was liking alot .....
such is slinging lead i suppose ,the good news is the drag was a squealing when they broke me off and it for sure i promise wasnt inanimate objects taking my tackle
one toad fish i saw twice as it SAWED my line on the metal under the dock.
i guess i best start watching them there wrestling shows and learn a few more moves
KABOOM is the word yawl
p.s. bye bye lil black headed ,3 d eyes jig with that pretty limits tackle pearl and sparkles spilt tail on it ,rest in peace my friend![]()

What a story and great fish photos. Man, they just inhaled some of those baits. If you can bear it stick with the U/L. U/L does add to the fun and challenge. Fish on!

There you go again, showing off, super deep hook sets, or are you just SLOW to react? Great post..........combine them all and it would make a fabulous short story collection.
