Shellcrackers eat fantastic blackened and served over grits, deep fried in fish fry, pan seared in a egg wash then served over pasta with a lemon /garlic / butter & herb sauce, you can even brine in a brown sugar & soy sauce brine then smoke in a upright hot smoker, taste like ham when done right. Really a wonderful, versatile, delicious fish. Great catch, Shellcrackers are a sucker for a red worm served at the end of a roll cast of floating fly line.
