what am i doing wrong

he probably did, he was constantly looking down in his boat and moving with the trolling motor, but what puzzles me is when he went to shore for about an hour, i moved where he was and could not catch a fish, when he came back i moved around and he went right where he left off and where i tried and when he gets there, bingo he starts catching them like CRAZY. i was going to wrap it up and head home

Sounds like they were using my technique called hang gliding. He was using his sonar/ gps combo screen to stay on the brushpile that was holding the fish. Here on Shenango Lake in nw Pa, a lot of the guys are using it. They did an article about me in the Pennsylvania Angler a few months ago explaining this technique in depth. I’ve even used it in a video I did with Russ Bailey from Brushpile fishing video. Season four, Hang gliding Shenango lake. Check them out and see if that’s what they were doing.
