I was at crappie camp w/ darryl & Mike simpson with his, and if you are a guide, I think it would be a "must" have tool for your clients. Marking brushpiles on a GPS would be the single biggest reason to have the higher end unit. As you go by, you can mark an area 100 ft wide looking for brushpiles, and as the other guy said, freeze the picture, move the cursor over, & mark a waypoint. you can troll 100 feet off of the bank & mark brushpiles in 5 feet of water 10 feet off the bank. It's almost like cheating to me. I was interested if Darryl would go through with it. He was drooling at the mouth at crappie camp in greeson. it is a way cool tool. I just don't think it would be appropriate to have a 2k depthfinder/gps on a 1k boat... Ha!
