What a crock of crap. Can't believe the IRS or the state wouldn't prosecute. What happened to the check you got?

We went to The IRS and they didn't even know what to do with the check that we received bogusly when we tried to turn it in. They didn't want to prosecute the person and told us to go to our Ill States Attorney. We did and she said that since she lived in another state they didn't want to pursue the case event though we had her name and address. To this day there was nothing done. We get a special pin # to file every year now. Not a lot of fun.
