Several ways ( Suffix hi vis 15lb)
1) from wind on my rod tip
2) while actively fishing
3) if you tangle in bushes it takes longer to get it out. It’s just too soft.
On a good note , it will slid thru my pole eyes better than the mono I use. So it pitches smoother.

Maybe for jigging with a 12ft pole a stiffer mono might be better,but it you want distance, strength and sensitivity braid is the only way to go.
