The issue I have about rear mounted TM’s is the wind blowing the nose around. It does that because there’s nothing to keep it in line. My thought is to find an old, dead TM and cut the motor off of it and attach a fair sized piece of aluminum to it, and I’m sure I could go on about those possibilities but you get the idea. Now clamp it onto the side of the boat as far forward as you can and the wind shouldn’t be able to push it around as much. Kinda like a forward mounted tiller that’s locked into straight ahead. Hope this stirs the ideas around some.
