I went Saturday night and the bite was slow to say the least. I almost changed location but my experience told me to stay put as the ff was showing plenty of nice fish. Finally got the first bite and landed a 2 lb 1oz slab this went on for a few hours with just the occasional catch. Right after catching a couple at the same time a rod doubled over, I assumed it was a bass by the pull. After about 3 minutes of just keeping the line tight the fish decided that it wanted to see who was on the other end of the line and jumped out of the water. I have no doubt after the 3rd jump that I had hooked my dream of a 3 pounder comparing it to the 3 2+ pounders that I had already caught. On the 4th jump he threw the hook at me and once again my dream was shattered. At least I got the pleasure of seeing a slab that big and just gives me more drive to try again. I ended up keeping 15 fish with 4 of them 2lbs or better. Sorry for the picture with me, I try to just post fish pictures to keep from scaring anyone. Name: 20191215_111323.jpg
