need help finding info on a older boat

As to the length I had a 16 foot Jon that was registered as 15 foot. I bought it from the owner’s widow so I couldn’t ask him why. But I suspect he registered it at its “waterline length” because 16 foot was about $10 more a year than 15 foot.

Clint, agree with your thoughts. Here in Pa, a lot of people way back when, registered 16' as 15' for that very reason.

I love fishing out of those. Hard telling how many fish have come over the side of it. And perfect for running limb lines or trot lines.
