Not at all were I try'n to belittle your question, just that this time of year is the easiest, get in the shallows, minnas, jigs, spinner baits, crank baits and just about any other bait will put crappie in your boat...
If you can find back waters with deep water close is the best and if the areas have structure even better....
Move fast fish slow, 5mins no bite move but within that 5mins if you're a jig fisherman try several different colors as I've found it can make a big difference this time of year and at the same time make no difference...I prefer having 4 or 5 poles rigged up so I don't have to be constantly re-tying.....
You do these things I promise you will catch crappie on any lake right now.....
