    Berkley XT Solar 6 lb We run into some pretty big Northern`s up here fishing Crappies XT handles them pretty well best I have gotten in the boat was 13.4 in the weeds what a hoot that was.

    I used to only use Stren Mono. Last few years I've moved to 6lb PLine Fluro. I does not seem to knot up as badly as Stren Mono. Tried 4lb Fireline for a while. Even at 4lb test if you snag it is VERY hard to break. Even with a fluro leader I still felt it was too disruptive to the crappie bed when snagged
