There are a couple styles of fluid beds I have seen. One uses a treaded union. It looks like this design would require you to dump out your paint when done as opposed to putting a cap on it and putting it on the shelf. What design do you all prefer?

Unions are expensive. 2-3" of pipe is cheap. I prefer the cheap way.

I use a vibrating table. No air. All my paint is in pee sample cups. I just place the pee cup in a holder on the vibrating table and turn power on and start dipping. Works great. No mess.

My fluid bed is blowing air up 1 side and not fluffing all the paint. What could be the cause of this? I bought this bed I didn't make it.

If it is one of those that has the hard filter in the bottom go around the bottom and onto the edge of that filter with some gel type super glue. Most likely culprit is a spot that didn’t get glued good lettin air between cup and filter.

crappie shooter turn your air all the way back - slowly open your valve while stirring the paint

if it still does it - you probably have a leak in the membrane

Daddy & Luke - you really don't need a fluid bed unless you're doing a lot of jigs or big jigs. Most of the jigs I do now are 1/24th or less so it's easier to fluff & stuff the solid colors. I prefer painting with brushes because you can add more colors.
