I agree with all the above post but the one thing that has helped me the most is keeping a simple notebook with every trip I went. I still keep notes every time I fish even after all these years. Keep going and don't give up. Read all you can find and don't be afraid to switch things up. Crappie .com is the best source of information on the web.
