Spider rigging braid?

I make my rigs exactly like Cray does. I use the double hook rigs made that way. I tried braid on my spider rig rods and it stayed wrapped around the tip all the time and I took it back off and went back to mono.

So u have a 3 way swivel, main drop down with the weight, bead, barre swivel, then 8” down to hook?

That is how I rig. I use a split ring and a duo lock snap on one leg of the three way. I attach the weight to that and remove it when I wrap up for the day. Makes rod storage easier. Same three way is used when I push cranks too, just different weights. 1/2oz for my trolling and 2oz for the cranks. Nothing fancy for the weights either. I use an all lead weight kind of like a bank sinker and because of the swivel there is no twist.

Thanks man! On that 5 wrap cinch knot, I will have to look that one up. So you are quick snapping the whole rig to ur main line? How are u attaching that?

Use a #1 or #2 fas snap on the main line, so you can easily swap out rigs or other lures. Here is a photo of clinch knot versus improved, and for crappie a 7 wrapped clinch isn't really necessary.

Tried the braid went back to mono. Seems like the braid was always wrapped around the rod tips.

Use a #1 DuoLock snap on main line, attach that to the first swivel. Then use the other 2 snaps to attach jigs or hooks.

That's correct.

Try florucarbon on one reel and see how it works for you.
For spider rigging l use baitcaster reels with 20 lb florucarbon and light wire hooks. My hand thumb joints are worn out and this helps retieing setups as often.
