Question: did you add the tail to the grub body or did it come that way?

those came that way , my bud was still pretty new to pouring jigs back when he sent those to me , they been in a big zip lock a couple a years now , I use them sometimes here and there . blue chart seems to be an ok color scheme and I have read lots on crappie vision and their capacity for viewing certain colors and blue seems to be quite visible to a crappie from what I read .
I was just pitching on a lunch break that day and only had that one in that color and a few orange with chart tails in my pocket . but to be sure I got bit enough on that one I just kept it tied on and used it till I left . got lucky and never lost it ….sure did whip them fish in an hour with it as well , a dozen keeper fish and another 6 to 8 under sized is pretty decent on a hot summer day on a public DFW water body without a boat or a graph .

Great report and pics! You definitely used a variety of good looking and effective jigs! Do you usually use a “tandem approach?”

I use that set up under a float frequently to add weight with a lager float than I normally like to get distance and probe more depths of the water column . most of the time a tandem is a great way to lose 2 jigs unless you use braid and I wouldn't suggest the use of this presentation in lots of scenarios ....so yes and no is my answer .
