A little of my Bass fishing techniques.Have won several bass tour with this technique bump the log or stump!!!!Never in my wildest dreams thought I would be casting a crankbait on 4 lb test especially with all the big hybrid stripers waiting to smash a crankbait.LolMy days are numbered.Lol.

Great job out there! Some beautiful crappie indeed. I never liked treble hooks period. On my blade baits, spoons and cranks I switch them out with a single inline VMC hook (I like the 1/0 size for the holding power). Less snags, less damage to the fish and easier to remove and move on to the next fish! This is what my latest mod on crappie cranks looks like:

You can add a split ring, #12 swivel and a willow blade on that bottom hook spot.

You would think you could pull over brush pile and jig to catch these fish not.In the Gin Clear Water pulling your Trolling motor over the brush will spook the fish.Yes you will catch one or two.By casting to Brush instead of catching one or Two.You can catch 25-30.My Two Pennies.
