Thanks for all of the replies. I have learned some things, for sure. It has just been a strange Spring. Monday morning we had frost, today it was in the mid 80’s. I know the females stage in deeper water, but I have caught only one crappie near the bank. When you find a female, or females staging, it would make sense to me that the males would be in the general vicinity, and hitting anything in sight. That just hasn’t happened. I also notice far fewer trailers in the parking lot, which tells me that the spring bank beaters are having the same luck. There were two rigs in the parking lot yesterday morning when we arrived, and the sun had already risen.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
