I buy the zebcos 202 from Walmarts for about $7 for my long poles. All your doing spidder rigging lifting up and down anyhow, and those zebcos give me less trouble than any other reel.

I ordered a couple cheap bait asters for spyder rigging. They came from China pretty quick. Used one time and threw them in the trash, junk and replaced with Shakespeare line counters. Don't know about the spinning reels but the bait casters are junk.

I have used these Zebco's for a few years now, and never had a minutes trouble. For a reel under $10.00, with anti-reverse, it has out performed several of the bigger names.
Sometimes simple is better.....

As someone has mentioned most all reels are made in China, I took a risk and ordered two mini-spinning reels from E-Bay. They fit in the palm of my hand. Yes, they take a while for delivery but I did receive what I ordered and extremely happy with the overall quality. As matter of fact, I now have all E-Bay China Mini Spinning Reels on my Rods and worth every penny. I know buy American, blah, blah, blah. I look at it as cutting out the middle man. So why pay retail USA prices when I can get them for seven bucks, no taxes on a slow boat from China, just plan ahead.
