I'm guessing the trip is a boat check. Of course with some fishing added in.
Weather report was clear with 4 mph winds. When we got to our 1st stop, the fog was pea soup, wind 7-8 and already building chop. Within 45 minutes the rollers and whitecaps were 2’+. Needless to say we bailed out, did some side scan probing, then headed to calmer waters. An hour later we got ran off because we went set up for sauger and not crappie.
We did get to run the Excel in 2 foot chop wide open at 44mph. It ran perfect and I’ve hit the perfect spot with the jack plate.
Always a great time with Cuz. We did have a great lunch at JoJos Cafe.

I have OCD "Obsessive Crappie Disorder"chimneyman thanked you for this post
It is crazy trying to find a marker buoy in wind, current and pea soup. When we did find it ,the wind and current had almost spun all the line off of it and it was nowhere close to what we marked. We found what we were looking for but when rollers are busting over the bow in 44 degree water, our safety and dry butts won out.
