First spider rigging expedition

I run no more than 8 in leader below weight and some times 6. Remember this, you have a 12 in leader below weight, fish hits and comes up then you have lift weight first then catch up 12 or more inches before you begin to set hook.

What pound line do you normally use for leader and main. I plan on using 8 for both. My first try was 4 pounds I had a lot of difficulty that would not have maybe happened with eight ,,,except for when I hung them all up at once. Haha
Have you used 332 before? In vertical jigging I thought the little small diameter in jig head might help. 1/8 sort of stands out in silhouette I was hoping being between the 2 sizes I normally use and being ultra light wire and number 2 hook would cross reference a lot of uses. I was going to order them through monks but didn't see that size available so being anxious I ordered on line from simply crappie that night

I use 12to 14 for droppers. 20 lb braid for main line. I use 1\8 pony head on bottom and 1/6 or gnat on top. But we don’t have the brush and stuff a lot of you guys do. Never used a 3/32 head. Litewirehooker could make you about anything you want. I have tried 8,10 and lost to many fish with broken leaders. But down here where I fish 12 inch is minimum length you can keep. So we are fishing for big fish.
