Just received my Ego rubber net in the mail. I also got an Ozark jig pole as well. Can't wait to break them both in this weekend. Thanks for the help guys.

I'm not sure I understand and it may be a dumb question... but what's the big deal about a rubber net and why does everyone prefer it over other materials?

Simply put ... the rubberized nets are less likely to get a hook hung in them. Nylon cord nets have twisted nylon strands in the netting, and you can damage the net or have to mash down the barb on your hook(s) to get them free. Just imagine what a pain that would be with a jig or two ... then multiply that by the SIX hooks on a crank bait !! Not to mention the time/effort it would take, and the amount of time it would take your attention away ... all while trying to continue to fish with all the other rods still out.
Makes sense. Thank you for the clarification. Now I have something else I gotta buy.... lol

I got a green net with aluminum handle. I filled the handle with expanding foam for flotation. I store it next to my live-well, made a little place for it to live. One day I'll get pictures.
