    I've been scaling panfish for over 40 years. Just take a pocket knife or any knife with a fairly stiff blade, hold it perpendicular to the fish, and scrape the scales off. Use the knife point to get the scales next to the fins.

    Take ya SMALL BOARD and screw a metal coke bottle lid to the small board. Got to your local carwash and dump your fish on the ground. Put the bottle cap on the tail of the fish, step on the board and hit it against the scales with the pressure wand. Takes less than 2 seconds per side. And then there are no scales laying around your yard hahahahahaha. Be hard to beat that time.

    I do not scale fish but did this one time just to see if it worked...........MAN IT DID!!!!!
