Looking for low memory 8lb line.

Hello all, would love to see if i could get some info from some mrmbers.... I am looking for an extra limp low memory 8lb test line for my single pole jigging in brush. Ive always been a 6lb guy but ive since started fishing for crappie in ohio river tributaries and they break it often. Any info appreciateed!!!

I got some high seas line for free a while back and I've been impressed with it. You might give it a try. I'm going to buy a role myself to give it a second try.

May try it out!!!!! I just hate it when u put new line on a spinning real, open the bail and it goes flying off. Or if you havent fished in a while and your line is all coiled up. Cast it and it looks like a slinky on top of tge water!!

Try som Super Slick 8 Power Pro Braid. I use the 15/4 stuff on me jigger poles. Git it @ Walmart.

Cane pole, you ever have issues with the braid burying its self into the spool if you have to pull hard to break off or straighten hook? I fish in deep brush a lot so not always can i poke it out with the end of the rod tip.

If you're using nothing but braid (no mono leader) that's prone to happening, if you pull with the rod/reel. Braid users should have a dowel rod or something similar to wrap the braid around and pull with, to free a hung lure. Wrapping it around your hand/fingers or a cork or foam rod handle is not a good idea ... as braid will cut through them all. (I KNOW )

I keep a semi soft handle phillips screwdriver in my duffel bag just for pulling on the line. Easy to pull loose. I learnt not to hand pull or pole pull.

I ran out of wood dowels. They floated off somehow or another. Thus, the screwdriver. It don't roll around and it is painted red.

After you put your line on the reel, run it through the rod and have some body walk about 60 or 70 feet of line off, lay it down and hold a damp paper towel around the line in front of the spool and reel the line back on pinching the line with the towel, you will be surprized how much twist comes out and how strait the line will be, been doen it for a long time. dont over fill spool your only using 20 ft or less on the reel most of the time.
