I know there is a ipilot section but it appears dead so I posted this here. Hope its ok. I just purchased and installed an ipilot. The spotlock feature was the only reason I bought it. It sucks. 20 to 40 yard drift on spotlock. I called Minkota and talked to a very sharp guy. He told me the installation instructions showed the wrong wire routing in the head of the unit. He said the wire placement as shown interferes with the compass. Only on older trolling motors. Seems the newer ones are wired diffrent. He sent me a wiring diagram that shows the proper wiring.
