Today marked the first try in fishing in a crappie USA tournament. The tournament was held on ky lake which is my home lake. My partner and I fished hard all week trying to figure out a pattern. It seemed to change on a daily basis. We did have one for sure spot so that was our game plan for the day. The day started out fast the tournament started at 6:30 and we had the first keeper in the boat at 6:35. We ended up with our 7 fish by 9:00. So we decided to pull cranks to see if we could pick up any bigger fish. The crank bait bite was just died for us. We tried everything that I knew to do with no luck. We did end up in 17th place and qualified for the classic which is what our goal was.

And I hope other members that participated in this tourney, and any previous tourneys, also wore representative clothing. Not only to show pride in being a member, but also to gain interest in becoming a member of Crappie.com by others, and to help foster the idea that the Crappie USA organization should seriously consider partnering with Crappie.com as a Sponsor ... as the Crappie Masters organization has already done.
