There will be times when due to a combination of wind direction and sun position you will be in the sun. During those times I spin my sportbrella mounted on EZ's umbrella holder around to a position that puts me in the shade. The fact that a bimini is fixed position detracts from their usefulness.IMHO
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

Thanks for the comments. I thought of going umbrella route but I have a suspension seat...not really much pedestal to work with....plus I wanted a bimini...so that is what I bought. I used it today. Not really a problem at all. I was able to fish like I normally do. The shade makes all the difference in the world. If I find it does create problems it can slide back where I am not impeded in any way....yet be able to sit in rear seat and take some good breaks in the shade....plus this was purchased as much for my wife as for me. My boat only reaches 30 MPH...bimini is rated to 35 MPH. I tested it out at 30 MPH quite a bit. Not a bit of noise...I have a half twist in the straps to stop strap vibration. I really like it...should have gotten one last year. For 21 years I worked in Saudi...many days it would hit 120 degrees. I also fished the Persian Gulf and Red Sea in those temps....but the last year I was there was 2001. At 65 I think I have used up all my hot days I was allocated...LOL. So it was time to get in the shade.
Regards
I am in the same boat.
I vote for bimini too. More shade means everything around you will be cooler too. The umbrella only keeps the sun off your back.
