Has anyone ever used plastic buckets instead? I saw a video on youtube that mentioned that.

Take your bucket, use a hole saw, cut about a 2 in hole in the middle of the bottom, then abut 5 1in hole around the outside. Take the handle off and bore about a 1/2 in hole just below the lip. Run a 3-4 got piece of rope through it and tie knot, then take side away from knot and pull it out and tie a overhand not to form a loop in the one piece of line. That gives you a point for attaching a clip. Run ta 8-10 ft behind boat. Make 2 one for each side they work good just storage is issue.
