Pulling- Electric or big motor?

I troll with my ulterra until batteries die, then I toss out a drift sock and troll with my 4-stroke 115 Merc. I don't know if its true or not but I had a guy tell me that trolling that slow trolling with a big 2-stroke will lead to fouled plugs. I could see that being true.

I've been trolling the last four years with my two stroke carb 90 and haven't fouled a plug yet

If pulling cranks outboard is ok. I hate trying to pulling jigs with an outboard. Trolling motor gives you more control.

i run the big motor if going into the wind or if theres alot of boat traffic and steer with the trolling motor.if its calm i use just the trolling motor,my motor is a 90 carb 2stroke mercury

Troll with big motor running at trolling speed with a bungee cord or something to hold your steering wheel straight.......when you want to turn or change course bump your electric trolling motor on and turn with it.....then bump it off.

set my trolling motor on 2-3 and set my big motor to the speed i want,on a windy or busy boat traffic day my boat will track better

Cool I'll try that today I have cruise control lock in place device for my outboard that will work great
