I have a friend that builds computers and his research tells him that windows 10 should be required for all government employees, but the general public should never
get close to windows 10 because of the aforementioned reasons.![]()

Some truth in that upgrade stuff. I have a Sony Ultrabook T15 core i7 @2.0 GHz & 8gig ram.
I upgraded from 8 to 8.1. After upgrade, my wireless network crashes quiet often. Sucks lemons. Reported this to MS and found that lots of folks that did this upgrade have the same problem. It has been over a year with no resolution.
I really have nothing to loose with the free upgrade to 10. I can always buy another tablet or laptop.
I have an older tablet with xp pro. I never connect it to the internet. This new stuff will not let me run my old CAD or Schematic Capture programs or my animation generator.
My wife has a Mac that never has any problems. Prob get a Mac notebook next time around.

Twenty years of service to our country has taught me to ignore comments. There are always a few bad apples that spoil the bunch. That can be said about every racial, ethnic, religious, political, and Joe worker out there.
We don't need Windows 10 for keystroke recorders, voice recorders, or camera take overs. We had it long before it came out in the public market.
For what it is worth, that feature will more than likely NOT be included in the standard COTS (commercial off the shelf) software. More than likely it will be in their premium or ultimate package that a normal home user will not need. Those features are usually available only through the network license program where 100s of licenses are purchased and software is pushed through a server environment.
People worry too much about big brother having any reason to monitor how much time you spend on crappie.com

I don’t really think anyone spending time on C dot C has any expectation of privacy.
Now as for anyone suggesting that people are worrying too much about big brother is a willing subject and someone with a paltry understanding of this government’s fundamental founding purpose for our protection and maintenance of our liberties. A big brother government that intrudes into every aspect of our lives attempting to provide values by redistributing from one to another is no longer a protector of all but now a violator of some rights. It’s such a shame now where the government no longer offers equal protections for all where majority votes now determines whose rights will be protected and those that won’t be protected. I worry greatly about big brother because as government expands our liberties are diminished – an undeniable fact of reality that many chose to ignore.

I have the ability to fix computer stuff but I don't. I pay someone else to suffer.

I have downloaded windows 10. I wished I had not now.I have had a lot of problems with it. DNS failure problems and google chrome running very slow. If you have not loaded it don't until they fix all the problems. I wish now I would have waited.

I know several folks that could not resist the temptation to download it when the pop up showed on the screen. Now they are complaining about facebook not working
properly and they are talking about taking the computers to a geek for uninstall. They were warned but did not listen.

After reading all this, I'm glad I waited on installing it now.
