We used the original Bream Buster telescoping rods for years. They had a cord wrapped handle and weighed almost nothing. the 9 and 10 ft ones were perfect for fishing in the canopy of cypress trees in the Santee Cooper swamp. Any longer and you stayed hung up in the tree limbs and if you missed one and the line went over your head you had to untangle from the branches. In later years none seemed as sensitive or as light as the original ones, of which I still have two.
At a recent Sportsman's Show here I saw a 10 ft. Mr. Crappie Bream Shaker and it was the best feeling one I had seen in years. They wanted $25 for one and I figured that was a show price and too high. I had trouble finding the Bream Shaker on line but I found this one for crappie and it is very similar and I go it for half what they wanted and it ships free to my local store. Only had one in stock and I ordered it, but surely they are available elsewhere.

This is the Bream Shaker and it was a heck of a price which is why they were out of stock, I'd guess.

BnM black widows are hard to beat. Telescopic with eyes and a reel seat. Monkscrappie.com is the place to get 'em.
