MOST states also require that if you have an inflatable vest it doesn't count UNLESS you have it on. I love mine and they're no problem, just like having a towel around your neck.

Don't wear seat belts either.

Cabelas 3500 auto's for me as well. No issues in the rain, very comfortable to wear. I waited for a sale to purchase mine (usually in December and again in April).
