Coloradoblade for the thump (vibration)
Willow Blade for the flash

Silver for clear to slightly stained water .. clear skies
Brass for lightly stained to dingy water .. cloudy skies

Smooth surface blade for single flash
Pitted surface blade for multiple angle/broadcast flash

That's the way I understand it, anyway.

I normally use the silver Colorado bladed RR's ... but, I do have RR heads withvarious sized blades, both styles & both colors.
