The more forums there are, the fewer people will see each post. I'd hate to have someone post a request and then only 2 or 3 people reply; it's not that the others don't care, they just never saw it. I'd venture to say that most members only check one or two forums per visit, and probably couldn't even tell you the names of the other forums.
Just my own feeling, but if I want/need your thoughts and prayers I'd rather it was done in an up-beat place like the main forum. A sub-forum of nothing but hardships just doesn't feel right.
making another forum would just add to the clutter and every post on that forum would be on other forums anyway, therefore you'd end up seeing the same one 2 or 3 times.
example is Indiana forum has a separate sub- forum for the Slab Masters Club, but all posts on it are also on the main Indiana forum so what's the point of it?

I agree with the others ....
Not a big deal seeing a "prayer request" on the main forum ......
More important than some of the other garbage I see there .......
"Teach a man to fish = he can feed himself "
"Teach the world to fish = you won't have any fish left to eat "
I like to have them right here on the main board or where ever someone posts most often. I like them to be seen. If you read the forum rules at the top I mention "prayers needed" posts too. They can go where ever the poster feels it's most appropriate for them. Nice suggestions, and I do appreciate the feedback. Thanks all.
Now close this thread Slab. It is settled by your say.
