    PawPaw Gene appreciate it.
I work at times in Houma and for years people would tell me about the launch by the fire station until now I never knew where it was. I always made the run from Amelia or Bayou Black.
If you caught fish all the time it would be catching and not fishing.

I usually launch at Cannon's landing which is between Houma and Bobs on 182 but it's across the bayou. It's a little less than 5 miles from Houma to the landing. Then from the landing it's about a mile to the Intracoastal via Minor's Canal, turning right into the Intracoastal it about 3 miles to Orange Grove. Launching at the Fire Station it's about 9 miles to Orange Grove. Cannon's landing cost 5 bucks where the Fire Station is free, but it reduces the ride time in the Intracoastal and all the tug boat traffic which can make it a rough ride sometimes.

Welcome Nuge, Philo's and Captain alan's are the only 2 places for shiners that I am aware of. I fish Orange Grove also really nice place to get away from it all. Look for the Red Bass tracker with the CDC sticker out back that will be me. Hope to see you out there.

I hope you weren't sitting in the rain. I thinking of going Monday morning or Tuesday afternoon. Tomorrow it's going to be a bright day and I'd rather fish on a somewhat cloudy day. May have to wait until Wednesday or later in the week if the rains come hard and plenty.

Sorry to hear that Wayne but don't give up. Last time I went, we had to hit many spots before we found one that gave up 12. It's always harder to find them at this time of year. Come spring it will be much easier.

Sounds like I need to move to Houma and open a bait shop when I retire. Might as well....can't seem to catch 'em. Might as well help others do it. LOL.
