The guide being upfront about the effect of the conditions, and ability with livescope to see if the fish are there, at what depth, and watch them in real time react to my bait. Certainly, over time, one could fine tune his presentation and offerings.

This guide had at least hundreds of waypoints and moved quickly from one to another depending on what he saw on livescope. Then he could coach your presentation until you got a bite!

In a way, I might have learned more from a bad day than a good day. That is often the case in my crappie fishing. On bad days I experiment with different techniques and search for new spots. That is a lot of what keeps it interesting.
