Dwayne, this is just me but if it was my motor I’d put a thermostat in it. It would have to shut down on me before I pulled one. On a lot of the older motors years ago the thermostat Ed were really small and not very good so I think that’s where removing them came from. I think that larger opening and bigger thermostat would pass a lot more debris than the older ones would. And like I said before the more controlled temp helps the motor burn fuel much more efficiently and that leads to longer plug and cylinder wear. Like I said though that’s just me. You know your motor and where you run it much better than I do.
