sinker weight
Just starting to spider rig a little. I usually always use the lightest weight possible when fishing. Today I was at Larto (14 keepers) using a 1/4 oz weight. A couple of guys came by me and we started talking. They said to always use at least 1/2 oz weight because it will put a slight bend on the rod and when a crappie bit it, it would actually let the pole rise do to loosing resistance of the weight due to most of them feeding up. Makes sense once I got to thinking about it. What yalls thoughts?
While on the subject, how often do yall use a jig tipped with shiners during the summer? I was using straight shiners today.
Thanks
