Thread: Verret catfish

No sacalait on this trip. A neighbor and I made a trip to Lake Verret this morning after hearing some great catfish reports recently. We didn’t do as well as others have but we put close to 15 cats and a few bull bream in the ice chest. Threw back about a dozen too. They bit good early then slowed down around 9-930. Almost all were caught on a worm 2 ft under a cork in 4-5 fow around the cypress trees. The last few were further out in 6-7 fow. Talked to a few others who did worse than us. I’ll probably give it another shot this weekend with the boys.
