    Default Millers or Chicot?

If yall were going this afternoon which lake would you try? We had a big rain Thursday but it's been pretty and hot since!

I took my 7 year old to Chicot this morning. Tried mainly for bream again. Got into a lot of small chinquapin. Ended up throwing 7 in the livewell and losing a few more close to the boat. If it’s like last weekend, the fishing will be better this afternoon. Kinda wish I would’ve slept in and gone this afternoon instead.

I drove all the way there and they had a bass tourney going on... then my transducer wiggled loose on the drive and was hanging off the back of the boat when i got out to launch so I packed up drove back home and fixed the transducer then made some rod holders for the VersaTrack system my boat has on the sides instead of fishing!

I went to Chicot yesterday morning. I actually started out at Cocodrie Lake above turkey Creek, but when I drove up at dawn, the whole parking lot was flooded. The lake was extremely high, so I turned around and went to Chicot, launching at the North Landing. Caught 4 or 5 along the channel near the launch, then decided to try in the cypress trees. I ended up with 17, with 3 of them being nice chickapin. But they were very small. I ended up keeping 9 in the 9-10" range. Gave them to my yard man. Sorry, no pictures. But it was a beautiful morning. No wind. The bream and chinks should be biting at Millers Lake, but I have not heard any reports.
