It had set idle on a shelf in the shed for years and one day he picked it up and carried it out to the roadside for pickup.

Great story and amazing memory. I can see the painting.

I remember, at least what I believe to remember, my pops performing many Herculean type feats that I style doubt my memories to be correct bc of how amazing they were.
I remember pops moving a shrimp boat in the back yard, a few feet only, but I do see him holding and pulling from the tongue only.....and me repositioning the log.
Prob not correct, but that’s what i remember and what me makes me smile
