    Default Off to the Lac

    Not an early start.
Launched out of Fred’s in Vacherie around 9:45 and headed to undeveloped canals near by but saw a line of boats. Decided to make the run to Bayou Boeuf and fished the mouth entering into Lac Des Allemands.
Picked up one bream, two sacs and a really nice bass...was an enjoyable fight with the jiggin pole.
About 2:30 I headed back towards Vacherie, pulled into the canals and talked a few people that weren’t catching. All using corks.
I stuck to the jiggin pole and it produced some good fish for the next few hours. Most of fish came in less than 2’ of water bouncing the bottom near stumps and lay downs.

Great job buddy. I was thinking of you today as I drove on highway 20 between Vacherie and the fork to go to Kramer as I saw a bunch of yaks that had launched at the launch near the bridge. Glad you had a great day. I had to drive to Gretna and then over to Prairieville. I saw the yaks about 5 pm on my way back.

Good to see some more kayakers around the area.
Mine hasn’t touched the water since I bough the boat in December but that may need to change here shortly.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Not yet but with the water already being in the upper 60’s I imagine it will be in full swing by late April.
