Thread: Vernon Lake

Hello buddy,
I've never fished Vernon but have a used to be neighbor that move to Leesville. He lives right between Lake Vernon and Anacoco Lake. He is a bass fisherman but knows of other locals who fish Vernon for Crappie and do well. He once told me that his son in law's dad runs trout lines for catfish in Vernon and has caught some crappie over 3 pounds there. I'd give him a call and try to update the conditions as they drew it way down some time back and I don't know if it back up to pool yet. In fact you met him at Toledo Bend not this past gathering but the one before. He's invited us over to stay and fish but we've just been to busy this past year and now I've lost his number when my phone went swimming without permission. He usually comes by here once or twice a year, hope he comes soon so I can get his number.
