    I fished 2s a lot of years. I now use 1/0 sickle and loose less fish.

    Shiner fishing, I use a size 1 just like you. Now if I'm jig fishing, I'll use a 4 or sometimes even a size 6 if its a hand tied jig. But use what works for you.
