I've trolled for two hours after it got dark. The fish quit hitting for me once it got dark. Never tried it again. Always wondered myself but never remembered to ask any of the other crankers if they'd had any luck with it. The thought of dealing with tangles at night isn't a pleasant one though.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

I was headed your way this morning Larto and at the last minute I changed plans and went back to the Red River in Koline. Sense I was a little early I figured I would try pulling the cranks in the dark and to my surprise it worked and was very productive. I kept 21 sac a lait had about 8 throw backs 4 of the bigest Goo i ever caught and a whole bunch of catfish and lost 3 crank baits to some garfish. The moon was over head and the black and purple, black/green tail and black/pink caught most of the fish till the sun came up then the shad patterns started producing better. The water in the oxbow was a lot clearer than in the lake. So YES it works now I'm gonna have to get up an hour earlier Monday morning to try for a repeat performance.
