Not sure about depth, but that oxbow doesn't look bad. There is also another one about a couple of miles south of there on the same side of the river. That one looks real good to me. Just be careful going into those things, cause sometimes they are shallow when you turn into them from the river and sometimes the corps has put rocks across the mouth. You can usually tilt your motor up and go on across them. I tore my motor up in 2002 and did $2400 worth of damage to it behind a rock getty on the river where they had put rocks going from the getty to the bank. I've ridden down to Bulow landing from Boyce, but have never fished there.
I will check out the depth and watch out for the rocks...thanks for the heads up!!

Is there a reason for the rocks?

I can only guess it's to keep it from washing away. When they straightened the river they had to cut out the bends and make it flow straight. If you look on google maps at Buhlow and follow it down to the railroad trussle about a mile or so, you can see what looks like an oxbow, when in fact it a getty with rocks on both ends on the same side of the river as Buhlow. Zoom in on the upper end and you can see the rocks, which would be under water right now. The oxbow I was talking about that I liked is still 1-2 miles below that one and shouldn't have any rocks, but I can't swear to it.
