    Default Chico Lake

I got a late start on the lake @ 9 am. So much for the morning bite before the wind started blowing 20 plus mph. I finely made my way back to the big cement bridge and kept getting bit but no hookups till I finely snagged one, a little bitty Blue Gill. I moved a couple times till I made my way to the dam and along the leave the grass is about a foot under the water, nothing there eather. As I was blowing across that flat I spot a boat and he is not moving so I pass behind him we talked a second then he told me to anchor were I was at and cast to the bank about a foot deep, thats what I've been doing all along. Well he continues catching fish after fish till he runs out of crickets then comes over to show me what he cought. He had a stringer with about 30 and a 48 qt ice chest filled to the brim with the biggest Chicapins I ever saw. Well I guess you know were to find me Friday morning, I hate to get skunked but sitting there watching someone else catch ALL THE FISH is the pitts.

    Were you using crickets, too?

Nope only had plastic. Gonna go back after this rain spell passes and bring a few crickets, I dont want to keep that many but sure would be fun to catch a bunch.
