Morganza would absolutely help. They opened the bonnet carre near New Orleans. That spillway does more for the Mississippi River. In 2011, there was way more water. They opened the morganza spillway and all that happened was I got water in my yard. Morganza is also relief for Mississippi River but it’s alot closer to three rivers and does provide relief.

I live below the leave system in Brouillette as of dark this evening the water seams to have stopped rising and is still flowing South thats a good thing. I'm keeping a close eye on things, to me this is just part of spring. My truck and 1 boat are at my gate 2 1/2 miles away, the mud boat, 4 wheeler and tractor stay ready incase of the enevadble. If any one needs a hand to move any thing out I have a wide 16' aluminum flat that will hold a lot of weight, dont hesate to ask I'm retired and avaliablele any time. Chip Text me at 318-452-7738.

Thanks for the info...
I'm new to the area and rivers. What river or rivers effect lake larto? Is the red, black or both? The latest crest forecast are above the 2016 levels but the crest for lake larto is below...........................I'm totally confused
The black, but it flows into the red. So if the red is falling, the black can crest and start to fall. Catahoula Lake also affects it. Catahoula was a lot higher in 2016 which made a lot of the difference.
