Thread: Spotted catin

Well I brought my uncle on his first spotted cat rod n reel trip Saturday morn in the Mississippi River , although he's a great hunter and avid fisherman he had never fished flatheads! So we started off the morning by me having 2 come off before getting to the boat and he had 2 in the ice chest lol then the rain poured down on us for 45 minuets he had my slicker suit and I had well a cheap leaking umbrella lol at least the lightening was not around us! We ended the day with 8 spotted cat 2 biggest 6 lb and 17.5 lb he had the smaller of the 2 but if y'all could have seen his eyes holding on to that pole while battling that flathead and the excitement following when I tore into that 17.5 lb ! The two blue cat were both 8 lb ers , I wish I had more pics but I will next time cause he is already asking when we going next lol
