    Default Birthday Perchin with Uncle Juicy!!


    Y'all may remember my nephew Xander from my post back in December where he drank my whole thermos of coffee while fishing...well his birthday in Monday 6-19 and he will be 12! He came and stayed a couple days with me this past Tuesday and Wednesday night anticipating a perch jerkin session...Oh He made sure I set the coffee pot for the morning! We set out to Grand Bayou Thursday morning for a lil top fishing and we only caught 6 by 10:30 so I let him load my boat on the trailer (which he was so excited to drive the boat) and we headed to the River to hit our tops! I put him back in the driver seat and launched him in and we set off! We ended up with 24 slabs! He managed to catch 6 or 7 fish and was tickled to death! We caught fish 8-16 fow using bonehead stump bugs in Paradise color! On the way home he said he had a great time!

    Way to go uncle !!! You making a fisherman for life ! I remember those days over 35 years ago when I was about Xander's age my uncles took me under their wing taught me how to hunt and fish! Thanks for sharing

    Yeh u right! Nice trip n haul, but putting him on those basic learning sessions is the high note in my book.
    I'm still learning basic waterway procedures. Not fault of no one else but my hArdyouthheaded self.

    Good job......I can remember my uncle taking me when I was that young.....never forget those times....and, we caught fish....had to paddle though....
